Provide a 2D drawing or 3D model
Whenever possible, include a 2D drawing showing dimensions, tolerances, threads and inspection requirements, together with a 3D model showing the complete geometry. Add the drawing revision and state whether dimensions are in millimetres or inches.
If a finished drawing is not yet available, CKJM can begin an initial discussion from clear product photos or a sketch when specific dimensions, material, quantity and functional requirements are included.

Identify the required material
Specify the exact material grade whenever it is known. Typical customer-specified metals include stainless steel, carbon or alloy steel, aluminum, brass and copper.

State the required quantity
Include quantities for development samples, the initial production order and expected repeat or annual demand. Different quantities may require different production methods, tooling arrangements and cost structures.

Mark critical dimensions and tolerances
Clearly identify critical-to-function dimensions, dimensional and geometric tolerances, datums, thread specifications, mating features and areas requiring special inspection.
Highlighting the truly critical features supports a practical manufacturability and cost review.

Define finish and appearance
State the required coating or treatment, colour, cosmetic surfaces, protected areas and surface roughness where applicable. Reference samples or an approved colour standard can help clarify visual requirements.

Add inspection and documentation needs
Tell us during quotation if the project requires material certificates, dimensional inspection reports, first article reports, special sampling, identification or traceability. The exact scope can be confirmed for the project.
Include requirements for individual or bulk packaging, surface protection, labels, barcodes, export cartons, the target delivery date and shipping destination. These details can affect both pricing and production planning.

The CKJM website accepts PDF, STEP, STP, DWG, DXF, ZIP, RAR and common image files, with a maximum upload size of 15 MB.

CKJM supports development samples, repeat orders and volume production. The appropriate manufacturing process is evaluated according to the part design, material, tolerances and quantity.
What if I do not know which material to use?
